Jay-Z to perform at Super Bowl

(NBC, KYMA) - Jay-Z is going from behind the scenes to center stage at the Super Bowl as he will headline the Halftime Show, for the first time.

The NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation announced Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show February 14 at Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The rap icon has helped produce the show since 2019, but says taking the stage himself marks a dream come true.

The performance comes as Jay-Z celebrates 30 years since his landmark debut album, "Reasonable Doubt."

After years of helping shape the Super Bowl's biggest musical moment, Jay-Z is finally ready to take the spotlight.
