NBC 11 Sports: Cibola wins Great Southwestern Soccer Tournament

Somerton Wrestling finishes weekend with several first-place finishers, Arizona State sneaks by Santa Clara

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Cibola Raiders girls soccer team cruised to a 5-0 win in the Great Southwestern Soccer Tournament championship against Calexico. The tournament featured 12 teams across the Desert Southwest.

Somerton had a multitude of first place finishers in its tournament this weekend: Aztlan Raya(106), Kenny Garcia(120), Jayden Preston(126), Diego Felix(132), Peter Rivas(285), Ariana Villafaña(107), Annette Preston(185) and Gianna Anaya(235).

Arizona State erased a 17-point deficit in the second half against Santa Clara to walk away with a narrow 82-79 win. Head coach Bobby Hurley was thrown out of the game with four seconds left in the first half and his team down 11 points.
