Central Soccer suffers overtime heartbreaker, AWC men's and women's basketball knocked off in Region 1 Playoffs

CARLSBAD, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Central boys' soccer made history as the first Imperial Valley team to compete in a state regional final, but their championship hopes were dashed in heartbreaking fashion with a 3-2 overtime loss to top-seeded Pacific Ridge.

Meanwhile, AWC basketball saw both teams eliminated from the Region I playoffs, with the men falling 66-63 to Eastern Arizona and the women dropping a 76-75 thriller to College of Southern Nevada.
