Judge Shelyna Brown ultimately deemed the dangers of granting Velasquez bail to be too great.

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - A judge denied bail for Cain Velasquez on Monday morning, meaning the ex-UFC heavyweight champion will remain in jail as he awaits his trial on attempted murder charges. Velasquez will next be in court on April 12th.

The Arizona Western women's basketball team is headed to the NJCAA DI National Tournament for the first time since 2002. AWC earned the #8 seed in the field of 24 and also receive and opening round bye.
