NBC 11 Sports: AWC Women’s Basketball eyes NJCAA Tournament run with season on the horizon

After a successful campaign last season, the Lady Matadors hope to return to the tournament in March

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Arizona Western Matadors Women's Basketball is preparing for the season ahead and Head Coach Chelsea Dewey and the Lady Mats have their eyes set on another NJCAA Tournament run.

In other basketball news, the NBA tipped their season off featuring two games on NBC. Mike Tirico and the NBA's commissioner Adam Silver share why the NBA on NBC is special this year.

The Phoenix Suns play the Sacramento Kings Wednesday night at the Mortgage Matchup Center at 7:00 p.m.
