NBC 11 Sportscast: Yuma Fight League to host sixth event

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The sixth edition of the Yuma Fight League kicks of Saturday, August 2, as co-founder Kelvin Gastelum and local stars like Jose Delgado hope to spread Mixed Martial Arts to the people of Yuma.

Meanwhile, Yuma Union High School District, in partnership with Onvida Health, is hosting a no-cost sports physical event August 8 at Gila Ridge High School.

The event is open to all YUHSD student athletes as long as parents or guardians are in attendance.

All physical examinations completed at the event will cover student athletes for the 2025-26 school year.

Doors will open at 4 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.
