NBC 11 Sports: Crosstown rivalries hit the hardwood and soccer pitch
YUMA, Ariz., (KYMA, KECY) - A couple of crosstown battles took center stage Tuesday night, from the hardwood on Yuma's north side at the Palace to the soccer pitch at Raider field.
Yuma girls hoops took over in the second half to handle Kofa for the fourth straight time since 2020, while on the other side, the Kofa boys continued their dominance - winning their 17th game in 22 meetings against the Criminals since 2014.
On the soccer field at Cibola, the Raiders used a lone second half goal from Miguel Valenzuela to hand Kofa its first loss of the year in 1-0 win.
