Cardinals trade Jacoby Brissett to Ravens after demotion

GLENDALE, Ariz. (KYMA) — The Arizona Cardinals are moving on from quarterback Jacoby Brissett, trading him to the Baltimore Ravens just days after demoting him to third string.

Brissett was benched in favor of Gardner Minshew during the second half of Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Cardinals captain was subsequently moved down the depth chart, and now he is headed to Baltimore.

According to ESPN, the trade is expected to be officially completed this weekend. The details of what Arizona will receive in return have not yet been announced.
