Seahawks cruise past Cardinals 31-7

PHOENIX (KYMA) - The Seattle Seahawks took down the Arizona Cardinals 31-7 Sunday at State Farm Stadium in an NFC West division matchup.

Seattle opened the game with an 82-yard touchdown from Drew Lock to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who broke free on a busted coverage in the Cardinals secondary.

Arizona responded on the first play in the second quarter, with Jacoby Brissett finding tight end Trey McBride for a two-yard touchdown to tie the game at seven.

But the Seahawks dominated the second half, shutting out the Cardinals while scoring 24 unanswered points. Smith-Njigba added two more touchdown catches to finish with three on the day.

The Seahawks improve to 2-0 with backup quarterback Drew Lock at the helm, while the Cardinals fall to 1-1 and will look to bounce back next week against another NFC West rival, the San Francisco 49ers.
