Hondo Rodeo returns to Phoenix for third consecutive year

The Ehrhardt Group

PHOENIX (KYMA) - The Hondo Rodeo is returning to Phoenix this fall, bringing one of the country's premier rodeo events back to Arizona for a third consecutive year.

Scheduled for Nov. 13-15, the three-day event will feature top rodeo athletes competing for $1 million in prizes while also showcasing some of the biggest names in country music.

Performers include Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Parker McCollum, Miranda Lambert and Lynyrd Skynyrd amongst others. The weekend is designed to provide entertainment for all ages, combining rodeo action, live music, food and family-friendly activities.

In addition to the competition inside Chase Field, attendees will have access to a free street festival outside the venue throughout the weekend.

"The best food, the best music, the best rodeo experience, and on top of that, there's a free street fest outside of Chase Field, going all day long, almost like a tailgate party before a football game," said Kennadee. "So you'll have vendors and food and music and just really positive fun atmosphere. So it's almost like a weekend getaway. Come for one day, come for all three, even better. Either way you're gonna have a blast."

The street festival will feature vendors, food, live entertainment and activities aimed at creating a welcoming atmosphere for fans before and after the rodeo events.
