Arizona’s Bradley gets selected 50th overall, Awaka picked up by Bulls

Both senior Wildcats are headed north, as Jaden Bradley was selected by Toronto while Tobe Awaka signed with Chicago

NEW YORK, N.Y. (KYMA) - Former Arizona Wildcats men's basketball standouts Jaden Bradley and Tobe Awaka both took steps toward the NBA on draft night, with Bradley hearing his name called and Awaka quickly finding a professional opportunity after the draft concluded.

Bradley was selected by the Toronto Raptors with the 50th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, becoming one of several Arizona players to earn an NBA opportunity this year.

The senior guard played a key role for the Wildcats during his collegiate career, establishing himself as one of the team's leaders on both ends of the floor. Bradley's defensive ability, playmaking and experience helped elevate his draft stock throughout the season.

Awaka, a 6-foot-8 forward known for his rebounding and physical presence in the paint, was not selected during the two-round draft. However, he quickly agreed to an opportunity with the Chicago Bulls following the draft.

Awaka developed into one of Arizona's most reliable frontcourt players, providing toughness, energy and consistent production around the basket. His ability to rebound and defend multiple positions could help him earn a roster spot as he begins his professional career.

The pair joined a strong group of Arizona-connected players pursuing NBA careers, highlighting another successful year for basketball talent from the Grand Canyon State.
