Cleveland Browns trade Myles Garrett to Los Angeles Rams

(CNN, KYMA/NBC) - The Cleveland Browns traded defensive tackle Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams Monday.

In return, the Browns received outside linebacker Jared Verse and several draft picks.

Browns General Manager Andrew berry spoke about the trade Tuesday saying in part, "This is not my favorite thing to do because I didn't have it on the bingo card, and I realized how strong I've been with Myles...the reality is when you have an opportunity to do something that has strong, both short and long-term benefits, like we have to be flexible with it."

The owners of the browns thanked Garrett, 30, for his contributions to the team. They said his legacy is immense and he will forever be considered a Cleveland Brown.

Garrett, who is considered by many to be the best defensive player in the league, played nine seasons for Cleveland.

The Rams, along with Garrett, held a press conference to talk about the trade Tuesday. To watch the livestream of the press conference, see attached video.
