A’ja Wilson signs record supermax deal to stay with Las Vegas Aces

LAS VEGAS, (KYMA, KECY) - One of the biggest stars in basketball is staying right where she belongs.

A'ja Wilson is reportedly signing a three-year, $5 million supermax contract to remain with the Las Vegas Aces marking the largest deal in WNBA history.

The fully guaranteed contract reflects not only Wilson’s dominance on the court, but also a major shift in the league’s financial landscape. Under the WNBA’s new collective bargaining agreement, supermax salaries have jumped significantly a sign of continued growth across the league.

Wilson’s return to Las Vegas was never really in doubt.

Coming off another championship run her third title in four seasons the four-time MVP made it clear she wasn’t interested in exploring free agency.

“I’m not leaving Vegas,” Wilson said recently. “I know exactly where I am.”

Since being drafted number one overall in 2018, Wilson has become the face of the franchise — and one of the most decorated players in the game. Along with multiple MVP honors, she’s added Finals MVPs, All-Star selections, and Defensive Player of the Year awards to her résumé.

Now, the Aces are keeping their core intact as they look to extend their dominance.

Las Vegas has already brought back several key contributors from its championship roster — and with Wilson locked in long-term, the expectation remains the same:

Compete for titles — every year.
