Diamondbacks stay hot behind Suarez and Marte, take down Rockies

DENVER (KYMA, KECY) - The Diamondbacks powered past the Rockies 5–3 on Saturday, backed by another big game from Eugenio Suarez and a four-hit night from Ketel Marte.
Suarez launched his 25th home run of the season his fourth in three games, and plated two RBIs to maintain his MLB-leading total of 67. Marte stayed red-hot with four hits, including a ground-rule double, and scored a key run in the third.
Shortstop Geraldo Perdomo added the game's biggest swing, launching a two-run homer to break a 3–3 tie in the fifth.
Merrill Kelly earned the win with a gritty six-inning outing, allowing three runs and striking out seven. Shelby Miller closed the door with a clean ninth inning for his eighth save.
With back-to-back wins over Colorado, Arizona has taken the series and continues to fight for ground in the National League standings.
