San Diego F.C. takes on reigning MLS champions L.A. Galaxy
SAN DIEGO (KYMA, KECY) - San Diego Football Club (SDFC) hosted and beat reigning Major League Soccer (MLS) champions, the Los Angeles (L.A.) Galaxy.
San Diego continued their undefeated streak in dramatic fashion with a 95th minute winner against L.A.

The match started off back and forth with the Galaxy applying a bit more pressure.
The Galaxy were able to eventually break through as centre forward Diego Fagundez scored in the 40th minute of the match, silencing the home crowd.
However, the silence did not last long as local San Diego talent Luca De La Torre scored his first home goal for the club one minute later, bringing the game level 1-1.

"It's a great feeling. You know, scoring a goal is one of the best feelings in sports I think, so obviously to win today to do it at home, score a goal at home, I'm very happy," De La Torres says.
The second half saw both teams battling back and forth, with no team being able to breakthrough for most of the half.
That is until a costly mistake from an L.A. Galaxy center back allowed for SDFC center forward Anders Dreyer to cross the ball.
On the receiving end was San Diego's star player Hirving "Chucky" Lozano, who headed the ball into the bottom right corner of the net, putting SDFC up 2-1 with less than a minute left in the match.

Lozano shared what his time in San Diego has meant to him so far.
"And the truth is I'm fully enjoying it here. I feel I'm working my best every day, give my all, and hopefully the people can continue to support, and see my everyday work," Lozano explained.
However, despite the win, an unfortunate event occurred as many fans began to fight one another.
San Diego's head coach Mikey Varas immediately condoned the actions in his post-game press conference.
"There's no place for violence in this sport. This is the beautiful game. It's supposed to bring joy. Of course there's passion, but we're gathering all the information," Varas says.
SDFC will look to extend this hot streak this Wednesday against the Seattle Sounders. Meanwhile, the L.A. Galaxy are still looking for their first win of the season.
