Kyler Murray carted off field after non-contact injury in loss to New England
YUMA, Ariz., (KYMA, KECY) - As if the Arizona Cardinals 2022 season could not get any worse, Monday night could have potentially been the last game of the year for their franchise quarterback.
After a 27-13 loss at home to the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football, the Cardinals will have to wait for results on Kyler Murray, who is undergoing tests.
Murray went down on just the third play of the game while scrambling out of the pocket, going down in what appears to be a non-contact knee injury.
Murray was carted off the field, showing clear frustration and emotion on his way off of the field at State Farm Stadium.
Nothing has been confirmed, but early reports show it may be a knee injury and a "likely torn ACL."
Murray signed a five-year, $230.5 million contract before the season, inking him as the future under center despite some contention between Murray and the front office regarding his work off the field, watching film.
