In reflecting on the recognition, Moreno said, "I worked really hard and I don't know if I ever pictured myself like winning a national title or having bigger success, but just working really hard. It just kind of happened on its own. Sometimes it happens in the least expected moments, especially if you're doing all the right things. Just trust in the process and know that everything happens for a reason and your time will come."
City leaders say Moreno's accomplishments elevate Somerton's pride on the national stage, showcasing the potential of local athletes who stay committed to their goals.
