Yuma Diablos launch community raffle to help fund trip to to USABF World Series
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Two local baseball teams made up of high school athletes from Yuma and Imperial Valley are getting ready to take the national stage, but they need the community's help to get there.

The Yuma Diablos 16U and 18U teams have officially qualified for the United States Amateur Baseball Federation (USABF) World Series, set for July 25–30 in San Diego.
The tournament is one of the premier youth baseball showcases in the country, drawing top talent from across the southwest and beyond.
To help fund the trip, the Diablos are hosting a $10 community raffle with a mix of unique prizes. The grand prize includes 10 pounds of carne asada, 16 ounces of tortillas, a 24-pack of drinks or beer, and an expert charcoal grill with wheels.
Second prize features two Official Pro Series MaxBats: High-quality maple bats used in competition play.
"It's a big deal for these guys," said Brendon Schofield, Executive Producer of Production Allstars, who's helping document the team's journey. "For a lot of the guys, this is their last chance. This series could be their final opportunity to show out for college coaches. Some of them have been reaching out all summer and haven't heard anything, so this means everything to them."
The Diablos program is entirely volunteer-run. Coaches donate their time, and the players, all local student-athletes, dedicate countless hours to both training and community service.
Representing Yuma and Imperial Valley in a national tournament is a major milestone, and the team is doing everything they can to make it happen.
The raffle runs through Friday, July 18. Here is the link to donate.
