Kofa opens season with 3-2 win over Buckeye Hawks

The Kings edged out the Hawks in a game where five goals were scored in the final 30 minutes

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Kofa Kings open up their season with a narrow 3-2 win over the Buckeye Hawks at Irv Pallack Field Monday night.

The Kings had plenty of scoring opportunities in the first half but couldn't get anything to fall until the second half.

Eliemerson Godina-Reyes pushed the pace, beat his man to the ball, and flicked it to Leonel Rodriguez Ulloa, who tapped it in to not only crack the scoreboard but net the Kings first goal of the season.

Kofa will be back on their home field Wednesday against the Cibola Raiders.
