Playoff Preview: Central, Gila Ridge and Palo Verde all prepare for different stages of the playoffs

Playoff football rolls on in the Desert Southwest, and three teams are still alive

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The first seeded Central Spartans take on the fourth seeded University City Centurions in the CIF-SDS D-III Semifinals while the sixth seeded Gila Ridge Hawks take on the 14th seeded Coconino Panthers in the AIA 4A State Quarterfinals Friday night.

Spartan's Rookie Pena and CJ Acosta are ready for the elusive quarterback and the weather they face ahead, while Gila Ridge's Jessica Slaughter understands the importance of stopping the Panther's big plays and sticking to their game plan.

Meanwhile, Palo Verde eyes a championship Saturday, November 22. They will take on the Maranatha Christian Eagles at Escondido High School at 7:00 p.m.

We will have a preview of the Yellow Jackets Friday night in Friday Night Lights, but watch the video for more information on how the Hawks and Spartans can win their respective games tonight.
