Imperial and Vincent Memorial set for duel in CIFSDS D-II Flag Championship

The Tigers and Scots were in nail-biter wins last night, setting up an all-valley championship game

IMPERIAL, Calif. (KYMA) - The Imperial Tigers defeated the San Marcos Knights in a back-and-forth 34-33 shootout on Tuesday night at Shimamoto-Simpson Stadium to advance to the CIF San Diego Section Division II Flag Football Championship.

They will be facing a familiar foe in the Vincent Memorial Scots. They defeated the Poway Titans 21-20 on the road last night as well.

The Tigers are 2-1 against the Scots, where there most recent game against each other was a 45-40 victory in favor of Imperial.

Both teams finished at the top of IVL play with an 11-1 record.

The championship game will be played at Escondido High School on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
