Prep Football Players of the Week: Kenneth Salazar and Prentess Boxx
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Two standout performances on the gridiron have earned this week's 13 On Your Side Prep Football Player of the Week honors.
Palo Verde's Kenneth Salazar was a force on both sides of the ball in the Yellow Jackets' 40–24 victory over Coachella Valley. Salazar carried the ball 11 times for 145 yards, scoring two touchdowns, while also contributing 10 tackles on defense.
Joining him is Gila Ridge senior Prentess Boxx III, who powered the Hawks to a 40–21 win over Buckeye. Boxx racked up 22 carries for 153 yards and found the end zone twice, cementing his role as the driving force behind Gila Ridge's offense.
