Cibola baseball keeps their playoff hopes alive with win over Kofa

Cibola keeps their slim playoff hopes alive with a home win against Kofa Kings.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Alfredo Lugo hit two doubles to lead the Cibola Raiders to a 4-3 victory over the Kofa Kings on Tuesday.

No. 32 Cibola moves to 7-7. No. 24 Kofa falls to 6-7.

In the second inning, Jaxun McNeece drove in Lugo on an RBI double to give Cibola. Going into the 7th inning, Cibola led 4-0. The Kings scored three runs but could not complete the comeback and the Raiders finished off a 4-3.

For Cibola, Lugo went 2 for 3 with the two doubles.

For Kofa, Ryan Rosas went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple.

These two squads will face off once again on Wednesday.
