Yuma Catholic softball takes down Southwest

Yuma Catholic softball remains undefeated after victory in a cross-state battle.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Catholic Shamrocks defeated the Southwest Eagles 3-2 on Wednesday.

Yuma Catholic moves to 5-0. Southwest falls to 3-3.

The Shamrocks took a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Southwest would tie the game at 2-2 in the second. Neither team would score until the seventh, when Isabel Rodriguez scored to give Yuma Catholic the victory.

On Thursday, Southwests takes on Clairemont in a tournament. Next week, Yuma Catholic hosts Odyssey Institute.
