Kofa duo sign letters of intent

Two standout Kofa athletes sign their letters of intent in Rillos Gym.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Kofa seniors Jacob Rouff and Hailey Alvarez signed their letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level on Friday in Rillos Gym.

Rouff signed to swim at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Despite the school being located haflway across the country the senior felt right at home during his visit.

"The team was awesome, Rouff said. "The team that reminded me of here. It was so natural and engineering is a major I've been deciding to pursue for a while."

Alvarez signed to play softball at Phoenix College. Playing college softball was a lifelong goal for Alvarez, and she credits this achievement to her hard work.

"I always thought if, if I was doing something that someone else isn't doing that would push me and drive me to be more successful," Alvarez said. "I'm just extremely grateful to be here."

Alvarez will be back playing for the King's softball program this spring.
