Cibola girls golf place fourth at Campo Verde

The Cibola Lady Raiders joined Gila Ridge in a four team meet at Campo Verde

CAMPO VERDE, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - The Cibola Lady Raiders and Gia Ridge Hawks took their talents to the suburbs of Phoenix for a four team meet at the Springfield Golf Club. Springfield is the home course for Camp Verde which also welcomed AZ College Prep.

Camp Verde won the girls meet with a team score of 171, Gila Ridge nestled into second place with a team score of 192, nine strokes better the AZ College Prep. Cibola came in fourth with a team score of 235.

Medalist was AZ College Prep senior ThaiLee Gerding who shot a 35. Gila Ridge senior Alba Kindelan came in third, six strokes behind with a 41. Sophomore Madison Grantham and senior Emma Martinez from Gila Ridge tied for 6th shooting 48's.

Senior Hannah Gurney led Cibola shooting a team high 52, good enough for 9th place in the event. Senior Maleia Padilla notched a 57 and senior Mia Soria added a 58.
