No place like home, Sanchez & Central blank Southwest
Spartan senior Arianna Sanchez tosses a one-hitter in Central's 3-0 win in the battle in El Centro
EL CENTRO, Calif. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - On Tuesday night, a great softball pitching matchup between Southwest senior Jessenia Lopez and Central's Arianna Sanchez. The game between the two programs in El Centro remained scoreless until the bottom half of the third inning. Central scored two in the third and added one more in the fourth. The three runs is all Sanchez would need. Sanchez only allowed one hit in the contest as Central defeated Southwest to start IVL play.
The Spartans will take their 1-0 IVL record on the road Friday night to Holtville. Southwest will host Brawley on Friday night.
