Gila Ridge loses in 4A State Semifinals, the Wildcats cruise past the Sun Devils and Central prepares for the CIF SDS D-III Championship on Saturday

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - NBC's Friday Night Lights aired their 16th show during the 15th week of the high school football season.

The Gila Ridge Hawks fell to the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts 31-3 in the 4A State Semifinals on Friday night. Despite tonight's loss, the Hawks had an outstanding 11-2 season.

On Saturday, the Central Spartans take on the Christian Patriots in the CIF SDS D-III Championship game. The last time Central appeared in the championship game was 2019, but they failed to secure the win.

In the college ranks, the University of Arizona Wildcats beat the Arizona State Sun Devils 23-7 in the 99th edition of the Territorial Cup.
