Central advances to the CIF-SDS D-III Championship after shootout, Gila Ridge forces fourth shutout in dominant win, Palo Verde prepares for championship game.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - NBC's Friday Night Lights aired their 15th show during the 14th week of the high school football season.

The Central Spartans defeated the University City Centurions 44-42 Friday night at Cal Jones Field. With the win, the Spartans advance to the CIF-SDS D-III Championship next Saturday at Southwestern College.

After a 27-0 thumping against the Coconino Panthers, and Mica Mountain upsetting Snowflake, the Gila Ridge Hawks will host a Semifinal game next Friday.

Palo Verde plays in the CIF-SDS Division V-AA Championship Saturday, November 22nd against Maranatha Christian.
