Arizona Western volleyball climbs to No. 20 after perfect start

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Arizona Western College volleyball team is making noise early in the season, and the Matadors are now ranked among the nation's best.

Arizona Western climbed to No. 20 in the NJCAA rankings after opening the season with a perfect 7-0 record.

The Matadors have been dominant from the start, winning their first six matches without dropping a single set.

That strong start included a standout performance at the Chapman Automotive Invitational, which Arizona Western hosted.

The Matadors will look to keep their perfect record intact when they return to action Friday at the Yavapai College Invitational where they'll face Eastern Arizona.
