Arizona outlasts final push from BYU in thriller as they eye history

The Wildcats remain perfect and tie their best start in program history

PROVO, Utah (KYMA) - The first ranked Arizona Wildcats hung on to a close 86-83 win against the 13th ranked BYU Cougars at the Marriott Center in Provo Monday night.

The Cougars made a final push near the end of regulation, and had a chance to take the lead with less than five seconds to go, but Brayden Burries made a block from behind to save the day.

As a result, the Wildcats advance to 21-0, tying their best start in program history.

Burries led Arizona with 29 points as the team shot over 50% from the field.

The Wildcats will look to make history by advancing to 22-0 overall against Arizona State University in Tempe Saturday.
