AWC Matadors Mens Basketball to hold winter camp Dec. 29-30
The Matador Men's basketball team is using their winter break to host a camp for kids in Yuma
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Arizona Western College (AWC) Men's Basketball team will host a two-day Chapman AWC Winter Basketball Camp on Dec. 29 and 30 at "The House" on AWC's campus.
The camp is open to boys and girls ages six to 16 and is designed to help young athletes develop fundamental skills, including footwork, ball handling and shooting form.
AWC head coach Kyle Isaacs said the camp provides a valuable opportunity for kids in the Yuma area to stay active during winter break while learning from collegiate coaches and players.
"We've got a great camp coming up, it's our winter basketball camp, and we're really excited about it," Isaacs said. "It's always a great time to get your kids out of the house and keep them active over winter break."
