Matadors coach Isaacs adds key milestone to resume

Matadors Head Coach Kyle Isaacs surpassed the centennial win mark last week against Palo Verde College

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Matadors Head Coach Kyle Isaacs got his 101st win last Monday, November 17 with a 97-75 win against the Palo Verde College Pirates.

Just by chance, Palo Verde College happened to be the first team Isaacs beat when he took over the program five years ago.

"It was victory one and then it happened to be victory 101," Isaacs said. "The variables of that happening had to be pretty astronomical."

Isaacs thanked his staff and mentors like Bob Knight and the AWC coaches that came before him, but Sophomore Guard Boubacar Diatta and Matadors Athletic Director Jerry Smith were grateful to be apart of his journey.

The Matadors also play Community Christian College Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
