Wildcat's football home to change name after recent deal is struck

TUCSON, Ariz. (KYMA) - Arizona's flagship university is undergoing some big changes in the football world, as the University of Arizona's football stadium is changing its name from Arizona Stadium to Casino Del Sol Stadium after an agreement was struck with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.

The deal with the tribe and the casino is a 20-year agreement worth $60 million, marking the largest naming-rights deal in Big 12 Conference history.

For context, a little up the road, Arizona State agreed to a $50 million, 15-year deal with Mountain America Credit Union to rename its stadium.

The naming partnership will include new exterior and interior branding, updated field logos and digital branding.

The change in branding will come with facility enhancements, including modernizing fan amenities and student-athlete spaces, such as upgrading premium seating, concourses, accessibility and stadium technology.
