Matador Men’s Basketball cruises in home opener

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Arizona Western Matadors defeated the Palo Verde College Pirates 97-75 in their home opener at The House Monday night.

This marks the Mats third straight win and six in their last seven.

The point explosion from AWC was backed from Engel Gutierrez and Matt Anglo, who combined for 60 points.

The Pirates where led by Salameh Dugan-Maraboto, who led his team with 22 points.

The Matadors have a slight break, playing their next game on Tuesday November 25 against Community Christian College.
