ASU Quarterback considered top impact player
Sam Leavitt gets recognized as one of the most important players in college football.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt was named not only one of the most important players in the Big 12, but in all of college football, according to ESPN's Bill Connelly.
Leavitt led the sun devils to the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl while posting the second best QBR in the country after November.
He also averaged 7.9 yards per dropback and a 16-2 touchdown to interception ratio during that same time span.
Leavitt was also good on the ground this past season rushing for 443 yards.
In the latest coaching poll they ranked 11 and start the season August 13 against in state rival Northern Arizona.
