Arizona Western softball falls out of the NJCAA World Series

AWC falls to Grayson College and the hosts are eliminated from the NJCAA World Series.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Sophia Jenkins hit a grand slam to lead the Grayson Vikings to a 8-0 victory over the Arizona Western Lady Matadors in the NJCAA Softball World Series.

Grayson advances in the tournament. AWC is eliminated.

In the first inning, Grayson took a 1-0 lead from an RBI single by Layne Reh. Later in the inning Daeya Moses would double their lead with an RBI single.

In the second inning, Jenkins would hit the grand slam to give Grayson the 7-0 lead.

AWC only managed four hits all game and would end up getting shut out 8-0, ending their season.
