Colorado to rejoin Big 12
The Buffaloes will be leaving the Pac-12 to rejoin the Big 12 after this season
The Pac-12 just seemingly continues to crumble. Earlier today the Colorado Board of Regents unanimously voted to rejoin the Big 12 following the 2023-24 season.
Colorado joined the Pac-12 back in 2011 and their departure serves as another blow to the Pac-12, who is already losing both USC and UCLA to the Big Ten next year.
At Pac-12 Media Day, Pac-12 conference commissioner George Kliavkoff said the conference, who still hasn't signed a media rights deal, was strong and would remain together.
Following the Buffaloes departure, the Pac-12 put out a statement saying they will look to expand when their media rights deal expires next year.
But, according to sources there could be more departures coming, including the Arizona schools. This will be definitely something to monitor because conference realignment could continue in the upcoming weeks and months.
