Sun Devil Football freshman placekicker Carter Brown named the Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - It is hard to have a better debut than freshman placekicker Carter Brown had on Thursday night in Arizona State's 40-3 season opening win over Northern Arizona University. The true freshman proved he belonged on the big stage, enjoying a perfect first game in a Sun Devil uniform. Brown went 4-for-4 on his field goal attempts and 4-for-4 on extra points, making him responsible for 16 total points. Brown was the only kicker in the entire FBS to make four field goals during the opening week.

Brown is the first winner of the Special Teams Player of the Week Award since D.J. Taylor claimed it after the 2021 season opener.
