Stricker wins for the 4th time this year on Champions tour

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Steve Stricker had a plan to win the Constellation Furyk & Friends that he followed to perfection. He made birdie on the all the par 5s and kept everyone at bay to win for the fourth time this year on the PGA Tour Champions. Stricker didn’t make bogey on the weekend until the final hole. By then it didn’t matter. He had a 69 to win by two shots over Harrison Frazar. That wraps up a 12-month period that began with Stricker having a hospital scare with heart inflammation. Now he has more Champions Tour wins than anyone this year.
