BRASELTON, Ga. (AP) — Meyer Shank Racing won the IMSA sports car championship by winning the title-deciding Petit Le Mans on Saturday at Road Atlanta. The Shank team trailed Wayne Taylor Racing by 14 points at the start of the 10-hour race and the Taylor team dominated. But a caution in the final hour allowed Shank to claim the lead on pit road and then Taylor driver Filipe Albuquerque hit a lapped car to take them out of contention with 13 minutes remaining. The race win and series championship went to Tom Blomqvist and Oliver Jarvis, who were joined by four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves for the season ender.
