2026 Prep Football Summer Series: Gila Ridge Hawks

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Hawks are coming off one of their best seasons - if not the best - in program history, working their way to an 11-2(4-0) record and a trip to the AIA 4A semifinals.

With starters returning at several key positions, Gila Ridge is primed to make another run. Still, the team is not satisfied with last year's finish, and is looking to raise the bar even higher this year.

"There's always going to be some tweaks [to the gameplan]," said head coach Jessica Slaughter. "We're not completely throwing out what we did last year. We're going to look to expand on it a little bit, maybe change up the run game slightly, but other than that business as usual - just attack it head on."
