Singh Kaila takes home first place in 2026 Crim Smash Tennis Tournament

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The 2026 Crim Smash tennis tournament in Yuma has concluded and crowned a single champion.

Emerging victorious was Yuma High School junior Jagmohinder Singh Kaila, who claimed the tournament’s first-place trophy with an impressive performance in the final. Kaila secured the championship by defeating Marcos Gutierrez of Yuma Catholic in straight sets, posting a decisive 6–4, 6–2 win to seal his title.

The competition for third place also showcased strong talent, as Yuma Catholic senior Austin Obika earned the position after overcoming Jakub Kallinger of Gila Ridge.
