SEATTLE, Wash. (KYMA) - The Seattle Seahawks returned home to a hero's welcome Wednesday afternoon after defeating the New England Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl LX.
Hundreds of thousands of fans lined the streets of downtown Seattle to greet the team and catch a glimpse of the Lombardi Trophy following the championship victory. The celebration continued at Lumen Field, where thousands more packed into the stadium to honor the newly crowned champions.
Several prominent voices within the organization addressed the crowd, including radio broadcaster Steve Raible and general manager John Schneider. They reflected on the team's journey and what it meant to bring another title to Seattle.
Quarterback Sam Darnold and wide receiver Cooper Kupp also thanked fans for their support throughout the season, crediting the city's energy as a driving force behind the team's championship run.
