NBC 11 Sports: Chargers lock in AFC’s seventh seed

Cardinals cement third overall draft selection, Wildcats remain undefeated, Arizona State loses first game in conference play

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Los Angeles Chargers lost to the Denver Broncos 19-3 while resting Justin Herbert, Omarion Hampton and Derwin James to stamp their place in the playoffs as the seventh seed.

They will hit the road to face the New England Patriots in the Wild Card round next week.

The Arizona Cardinals also fell to the Los Angeles Rams 37-20 and, as a result, hold the third overall draft pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. They end the season on a nine-game losing streak.

The University of Arizona men's basketball team got a convincing road win against the Utah Utes to remain undefeated on the year.

Arizona State did not have as good of a result with a Big 12 match-up against Colorado going the wrong way. The Sun Devils lost 95-89 and are now 9-5 this year.
