President Donald Trump is preparing to host an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event at the White House next year.

UFC CEO Dana White confirmed it during an appearance on "CBS Mornings" Tuesday.

White also said he spoke about the UFC event with President Trump Monday night, and more talks are scheduled.

According to an anonymous White House staffer, the UFC fight is being scheduled for July 4, 2026. That day marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence signing.
