Paramount announces seven-year media rights deal with UFC
(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Paramount has bought the media rights to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in a multi-billion dollar deal.
The landmark seven-year deal, which was announced Monday, is worth $7.7 billion.
UFC's 13 marquee events and 30 fight nights will stream exclusively on Paramount+ beginning next year. A select number of events will also be simulcast on CBS, Paramount's leading broadcast network.
The agreement moves UFC fights away from their existing pay-per-view model.
