LA28 marks three years out from the 2028 Olympic games
LOS ANGELES (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - LA28 held an event Monday to mark three years out to the start of the 2028 Olympic games.
During the event at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, officials released the first look at the 2028 games' schedule.
Opening ceremonies will take place Friday, July 14 and closing ceremonies will take place Sunday, July 30.
Athletics will take place in the first week, with swimming competitions taking place the second week; a swap from the traditional summer games schedule.
The first medal of the '28 games will be awarded in Venice Beach for the triathlon.
