Kofa uses offensive explosion to take down Gila Ridge 15-2
The Kings' bats were on fire as they got their record back over the .500 mark
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Kofa baseball continued their recent hot streak, beating Gila Ridge 15-2 on the road Wednesday.
The Kings (6-5) scored six runs in the first four innings while shutting out the Hawks in that same timeframe.
Of the six runs, none were bigger than a two-run, inside-the-park home run from junior Ryan Rosas in the top of the fourth to make it 5-0.
Nine runs later, Kofa found themselves back over .500 for the first time since they were 2-1 at the start of the season.
They'll now hope to keep their momentum up on the road, as they head out to Phoenix Thursday to take on Cesar Chavez.
Thursday's game is the first of three straight the Kings will play in the Phoenix area.
