Yuma Diablos 18U baseball team wins championship

Head Coach Faron Owl is proud of his players for all their hard work

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A local club baseball team in Yuma took home the trophy.

Diablos head coach Faron Owl said his players get better by simply working with each other and that showed on the diamond this weekend. 

The Yuma Diablos 18U baseball team took 1st place Sunday at the National Championship Sports Wood Bat Tournament in Goodyear, AZ.

The Diablos finished with five wins and 0 losses. 

Andrugh Yee was named MVP of the tournament.

Andrugh pitched a one hitter and hit a monster homerun in the championship game.

Congratulations Diablos.
